This S-Biner Ahhh is intended to replace my well-worn S-Biner 3. The gates on the Ahhh seem a lot more sturdy than I remember the ones on the 3 ever being, they have a much, much stronger return action. Obviously, it's larger than the 3 as well, I would place it between the 4 and 4 S-Biners for size. Like other S-Biners, it's great for carrying keys but let's be honest, this isn't why I (or you) bought it.
As a bottle opener, I've had mixed results so far. On longnecks and domestic bottles, it functions flawlessly for the most part; its action takes one or two tries to get used to due to the odd shaped handle the Ahhh turns out to be. As for imports such as Guinness Extra Stout where the cap is closer to the lip of the bottle, it does not work as well. This is because there is just enough clearance between the bottle cap and the bottle lip to slip the center of the Ahhh into in order to provide the force needed to remove the cap. Frankly, it's not a deal breaker, but it's something to keep in mind when trying this on all the bottles you may come across.
I have used this as a keychain for two years now. Still going strong. A tad awkward on bottles but has never failed to open a beer yet, nor has it ever came off something dropping my keys. Secure and beverage ready.
